How?
BOSTON’S
THIRD
LARGEST
JOB
MARKET
(REal estate)
Why?
“white house-holds in city of boston have a median wealth of $247,500, While black House-holds have a median wealth CLOSE to zero.”
When?
COMPASs
is a pioneering real estate collective in Boston, dedicated to merging non-profit initiatives with for-profit motives. Our mission is to single-handedly close the wealth gap for historically marginalized and low-income groups in the City of Boston - NOW.
We aim to mentor youth through programs that study personal finance and professional skills. We aim to provide industry-specific training in real estate, positioning communities to lead Boston's third-largest labor market. Our for-profit division builds and acquires businesses that align with our mission, focusing on POC/Women-owned businesses in the real estate sector (management, development, and tech). Most importantly, we promote employee ownership structures and organization. We aim to own the companies we work for, and the buildings we work in.
Let’s break down barriers to home and business ownership, grow real estate portfolios, and increase income from the ground up. By integrating education, opportunity, and ownership, we empower individuals to transform their lives and the community - on OUR terms.
